Next Step Pediatrics providers follow and support the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) immunization schedule. We are an immunization-required practice. For the health and safety of all our patients, if you are deciding not to immunize your child, we recommend finding a practice that better aligns with your goals.
We believe immunizations are the safest and most effective way to protect children, families, and our community from serious illness. We understand that some parents have questions or concerns, and we welcome open conversations with your provider.
For more information on immunizations, click here. On-time immunization prepares your child’s immune system before exposure to potentially life-threatening diseases. Immunizations are carefully tested to ensure safety and effectiveness for children at every recommended age.
Our practice does offer a specific alternative schedule created by our providers that follows the AAP recommendations. This schedule spaces out immunization visits while still ensuring that all recommended immunizations are received on time. A $200 administrative fee applies to families choosing the altered schedule. This fee covers the additional time, documentation, and coordination required and must be paid at the time the alternative schedule is initiated.
